He has successfully executed projects for PSUs like GAIL, EIL, PWD, and HPCL, among others, both domestically and internationally. As a project manager, he has completed 14 treatment plants and numerous industrial projects with innovative ideas and processes.

Mechanical from Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College with 29 years of rich experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering having specialization in fabrication, erection of steel structure, bridges, Operation & Maintenance of structures etc. An outstanding Professional in Operation, Strategic Management. Worker with M.N. Dastur Co. & SAIL also worker in Gua Ore Mines, Bhawanathpur Limestone Mines, Tulsidamar Dolomite Mines, Kuteswar Limestone Mines, Barsua Iron Ores Mines.
With a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, Rana Karmakar has 29 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering. Specializing in fabrication, erection of steel structures, and bridges, he has worked with M.N. Dastur Co. & SAIL, and managed operations at various mines, including Gua, Bhawanathpur, and Barsua.
More than 40 year’s hands on rich experience in designing, engineering, budgeting, construction & commissioning of various treatment plants viz, Water Treatment Plants, Waste Water Treatment Plants, Effluent Treatment Plants, BOD Plant, Sewerage Treatment Plant etc. within the Steel Plants, Aluminium Plants, Zinc Plants, Refineries, Iron Ore Pallet Plants as well as infrastructural projects for various PSU,s like GAIL, EIL. PWD, PHED, IRCON,HPCL, IOCL. NALCO,HZL,UPPC Petrochemicals, Refineries across the country as well as abroad.
As a project manager, over the past years successfully constructed & commissioned 14 nos treatment plants besides several industrial projects as well as infrastructural projects with appreciable innovative ideas & processes.

- Saved the Air Rifle shooters and Industry from Licence under Arms Act in 2002. Represented case in High Court Supreme Court with Ministry of Home and NRAI
